Have you ever wondered how you could get your website on the first page of Google search results? This article is not only about that, but also about totally dominating the results of the first page.

I’ll start out by saying that if you choose the wrong keyword phrases to target, you’ll be in for a massive amount of work to get your site to number one…or even anywhere near the top 100 results.

For instance, if you were to try to go after the term “cell phone” would require a massive amount of work and time. Fortunately for you, I’ll show you why you don’t need or want terms like that so it’s going to be much easier for you.

If you are primarily a local business, most of your business no doubt comes from people who are located near your business. So, for instance, if you’re selling mailbox services it makes no sense for you to target people who will never come to your business anyway.

So the first place to start is choosing the right keywords to target. Let’s say you own a mail and parcel store located in the Overland Park suburb of Kansas City and you’re targeting mailbox services. So instead of targeting “mailbox services,” you would target “overland park mailbox service” as the phrase you want to dominate. You may even go for “kansas city mailbox service.” Of course there are lots of variations of these keyword phrase and you can find them by using the Google Keyword Tool. Just search Google for it.

The second thing you will need are pages on your website that actually have these keywords in them. It will work best if you develop a page just for this purpose. You’ll need to put the keywords in several places. Starting with the programming language part of the page you will need to put the keyword phrase in the Title tag, the Description tag, and the Keyword tag. If you do your own web page development you’ll find these in the page properties part of whatever tool you use.

You also want the page to have a header that has the keyword phrase something like, “Overland Park and Kansas City Mailbox Services.” If you know how, make it an “H1″ header using your web developer tool (if not just make it big and bold). Then you want to write some content for the page and make sure the phrase is in the first and last sentences on the page. The middle part of the copy can contain related words like rentals, post office, or other words you would commonly see with the term mailbox services.

Now on to the next phase of your total domination plan. This phase takes advantage of what’s been coined as Web 2.0 websites. The good news is you can use these sites for free, but you will need original content to post. By content I mean articles you or someone has written about mailbox services. If you don’t have content or have time to write it, hire someone on Elance.com or Guru.com to write it for you.

In your content you will have what’s called “anchor text links” that point back to the page you just created. An anchor text link is a group of keywords that when clicked on will take you to the webpage you created.

There are various ways to create these but let’s use Microsoft Word as an example since most people know this tool. Type Overland Park Mailbox Services in Word, highlight the phrase, right mouse click, select “Hyperlink” from the menu that pops up, and then enter the webpage address where it says “Address.” This creates an anchor text link.

Now you need to publish all this content to the free Web 2.0 sites. You’ll sign up for sites like EzineArticles.com, HubPages.com, Squidoo.com, WetPaint.com, WordPress.com, Quizilla.com, ClearBlogs.com, and Knol.Google.com. There are so many free sources to post content I couldn’t mention them all in several pages. So all this content has anchor text links or regular links (some of these sites won’t let you do anchor text links) pointing back to the webpage you created.

One more step to go. Now sign up to free “social bookmarking sites” like Propeller.com, Del.icio.us, ContentPop.com, Folkd.com, Digg.com, and StumbleUpon.com and bookmark all the Web 2.0 content sites. So you end up with the bookmarking sites pointing at the Web 2.0 sites, and the Web 2.0 sites pointing at your web page.

For most of you in markets that aren’t extremely competitive, not only should this total domination plan put your website at or near number one in Google search results in just a few weeks, you could end up seeing the Web 2.0 sites in positions under it. So you may own several spots on the first page of search results.

When you combine these techniques with Google AdWords and Google Local you can have your page listed in so many places on Google Search results, people will have no choice but to call you!

Bed bugs bite. They can survive long without feeding – up to 6 months or a year.

When it comes to cleansing a home of bed bugs, not many people can do the job better than a professional pest controller, so it is better to call in such a person instead of trying to rid these pests all by yourself. However, if you don’t want to spend on a professional, the next best thing to do is to vigorously wash carpets, bed linen etc. in warm water and then let them to be dried in the sun. It is essential to plug all gaps in the walls and remove furniture that has holes in it, so that these bugs don’t get any place to grow.
