Social networking sites are a great place to market for free. They must be used for 2 major reasons though. These 2 aspects if done correctly can explode your online presence and make you tons of money! Now lets get started.
1. Building Your Network & Online Presence:
You want to have a huge network and presence online before you start marketing using these social networking sites. (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, MySpace) These are the 4 top social networking sites online which will get you the most results quick.
So you want to build a large network by adding friends and connecting with people on a daily basis. With Facebook you want to add 20-30 friends a day, with Twitter add 200-300 followers a day, with LinkedIn & MySpace add the same as Facebook (20-30 a day) because if you are too aggressive and add too much at once they will suspend your account.
So that is the best way to grow your network. Do not use automatic tools for adding because you will be suspended quickly. Manually is the best and safest way. What do you do when you have a big network and presence?
2. Building Relationships:
Building relationships is key to succeeding on these social networking sites. Do not be like everyone else and just put up ads in all the groups and look like your trying to scam everyone. Just build long term relationships and by doing so people will trust you and then actually want to spend money with you or work with you.
People love to be given things. People love to learn. So give value in the process! On top of building relationships you can be giving value to the community and everyone viewing your profile page by putting out valuable content (articles,videos,press releases,blog posts) but remember not to put so many ads, but always give value and push the free content!
