If I could choose three places for social marketing to build traffic, what three would I choose and how would I choose them?”
The three places I would use are, Facebook, Twitter, and Amazon. That last one probably threw you for a loop, but here’s why I chose these places specifically. First of all, with Facebook there are a lot of people out there who use this service and you can identify the people that are inside your niche, wherever they’re from and then you can have them befriend you. Now, do I do that? No. Actually, I just email out to my list to get them all to become my friends. But it’s a great way to find people, likeminded individuals that are in that target market or niche that you’re looking for and have them become your friends. Once you’ve befriended them, you’re going to do subtle marketing to them. Give them resources for them to go get free information to start building their knowledge base.
Twitter.com is also a great place to do social marketing on. I love Twitter because people can see what you’re doing and you can write on there all the time. You can drive that traffic to different pages. I have some friends that have been testing it and it’s actually pretty interesting.
The other place I recommend is Amazon. Why in the world would you say Amazon, Matt? Well, here’s the thing. We’re looking for people that are buying and we’re looking for people that are habitual buyers. People that use Amazon are buying from Amazon. I don’t know if you know this, but you can become friends with people on Amazon. Amazon actually has a social networking, social marketing, Web 2.0 kind of set up that you can access if you go to www.amazon.com. It’s great because you can get friends on there. Well, those new friends are people that have the same interest in the niche that you’re involved in. You can befriend them and get them to become your friends by supplying them with informative resources – preferably free. Well, what happens when you do that? Well, those people are more likely to buy information products from you because they’ve gained your trust. Not only this but those people are more likely to buy off the internet because they’ve done it obviously with Amazon.
Find your audience and start mingling with them. It’s amazing how many sales you can make this way. If you’re not a part of the social marketing network, I suggest you get on the bandwagon as soon as possible. There is always more money to be made!
