feel way more doable than it sounds let's get [Music] started first up if you're new to it Pinterest is essentially a search engine that's a crucial point so keep it in mind it will come up a lot and another big thing about Pinterest is Pinterest Trends so Pinterest isn't just following the trends it's predicting them each year the platform forecasts what's going to be big and historically these predictions are over 80% accurate for anyone looking to stay ahead of the curve using pinterest's free Trend tool can give you a Competitive Edge now before you jump into pinning on Pinterest it is crucial to have a clear strategy especially you need to understand who your ideal customer is and how they use Pinterest the first step in this process involves developing a thorough keyword strategy so consider what your potential customers are asking and what they're looking for on this platform this type of questions can guide your content creation and it should be used to reach your audience effectively so think about the products or services that you offer and make a list of potential Search terms that your customers might use this could be even specific queries related to what you sell for example in fashion Niche it could be something as specific as how to style black leather pants which then becomes targeted keywords for your content on Pinterest now to help you further I've prepared a comprehensive Pinterest SEO masterclass which I will link in the description below this master class will guide you through the entire process of creating and implementing a keyword strategy tailored for Pinterest now what types of pins you should post here so understanding the types of pins that you need is key to your success on Pinterest and here is what your strategy should include one it's of course optimized Pinterest profile and we will explore this more in a moment but starting with a well optimized profile is crucial now second your image strategy you should include images that are made for every phase of the customer Journey awareness consideration and purchase let me explain how this works let's talk about awareness at this initial stage your pins should help people discover your products or Services broadly for example if they're interested in home decor a pin might feature something like modern living room ideas to introduce them to your interior design blog or your store now now on the consideration stage potential customers know that they want to enhance their space but they're deciding between different styles or products and pins in this pH could showcase small kitchen makeover tips to help them visualize potential updates and see the value in your suggestions now the final the purchase stage features pins with a strong call to action and they're focusing on specific products for instance a pin might highlight a lot luxury sofa sale with eye-catching images of the sofas in stylish settings and the goal of the pins is to prompt users to make a purchase if you're finding this video helpful so far please give me thumbs up and this will help the video reach more people who could benefit from this tips that was in terms of pin content but when it comes to pin formats we currently have Pinterest one image pins and they're also called Static pins they're your goto format for pretty much everything like engagement driving traffic and boosting sales they are the heavy lifters that will drive you the majority of traffic image pins can suit various stages of the buyer Journey let's say for the awareness stage you can use an image pin to spark interest without direct selling for example a captivating image of a beautifully organized home office could attract people who are interested in home Decor or organization uh on the consideration stage you can highlight the features of a product that solve common problems or fulfill the user needs so a pin showing several smart watches that have health tracking features can engage TCH enthusiasts that are looking for Fitness gadgets on the purchase stage you can drive sales with image pins that focus on product promotions for instance an eye-catching pin featuring a book bundle with a special discount can encourage purchases among Book Lovers the second format is video pins and these are great for catching people's eyes and getting them to save your pins to their profiles but while they've gotten a little bit better for driving traffic since Pinterest added a handy visit button to them they still don't match the static pins in driving visitors to your website see if you click on an image pin you will go straight to the website with video pins you can click on the video and all that happens it just starts replaying the video all over again now video pins allow for a deeper connection with your audience um through more Dynamic content so on the awareness stage a video showc casting sustainable clothing brands can bring people interest in echo-friendly Fashion on the consideration stage demonstration video pins can help in decision making a stepbystep video on using new kitchen gadgets will show its benefits and will show how to use them helping people who are not sure whether they need this product or not and on the purchasing stage you can encourage action with video pins that have a compelling call to action so we see here a video featuring a flash sale on these travel packages complete with enticing visuals of this destination and clear urgent prompts something like book now can affect actively convert viewers into buyers now I know that many people are starting on Pinterest with zero graphic design skills does it mean that you cannot create beautiful and click worthy pins not if you start your Pinterest growth with this collection of 12 business focused Pinterest templates offered by hopspot these templates are designed to use Pinterest more efficiently with less work they are free to download and you can edit them in PowerPoint which you likely already have and you used it before these pin templates will work fine for a wide range of niches and here's a tip to get the most out of them if you're not confident in your graphic design skills it's best to keep changes to a minimum the templates come pre-arranged with well out color schemes fonts and contrasts if you start tweaking too much it might mess with the look of the templates my favorite are the ones that have the text overlay in the top part of the image because users on Pinterest are more likely to notice this text while scrolling down on the platform I'd like to thank H sport for making the pin templates available for free and for sponsoring this part of the video so check the link in the description below to download and start using these templates remember I promised that I will give you a strategy that allows you to grow on Pinterest in an easy mode so when it when it comes to your Pinterest posting strategy batching your pins is a game changer here is how to get it done effectively ideally once a month start by batch creating content specifically for Pinterest you can absolutely manage this manually and pinterest's own scheduling feature is pretty handy for this but on Pinterest you can schedule each pin to only one board at a time and you can only schedule pins just a month in advance to streamline the process and save time you might consider using a third partyy scheduling tool I personally have been using Tailwind for years and I still recommend it at least if you manage only one Pinterest account I've been using it for years so it's not a sponsor mention though I do have an affiliate link Down Below in the description it's a tool designed specifically for Pinterest and it allows you to schedule the same pin across several relevant boards and it is recommended to use no more than three boards for every pin and you can schedule for weeks months or even years ahead on Tailwind all at once it's incredibly efficient another great option is canva pro while it doesn't allow you to post the same pin to several boards directly you can still duplicate your pin and schedule it to various boards with no limit of one month up front like it is on the Pinterest native schedule so this can be a solid Choice especially if you're already using canva Pro for designing your pins there is also pin generator this tool is more recent so the pricing is still lower and you can use one monthly subscription to schedule pins for unlimited number of Pinterest accounts but as a newer tool it does have a little more glitches at least for now but I can assure you that the tool is constantly improving so whichever tool you choose the goal here is to batch create a variety of pins and starting with static images is a great first step this approach will not only keep your Pinterest active but also it will ensure that you are consistently engaging with your audience without having to log in on Pinterest every day now how can you schedule a pin on Pinterest using the native Pinterest scheduler so let me show you for example how you can do it on Pinterest for a static image pin just upload your image add the title up to 100 characters and the description up to 500 characters drop in your link and then decide whether you want to publish it immediately or schedule it for later it's one of the easiest parts of the process but make sure that your PIN is saved to the most relevant board first for example if you are saving a pin about as a certain chicken recipe and you have a board with chicken recipes this will be the most relevant board not the board that has like generic healthy recipes right you want your pins to align as closely as possible with the board topics and the keywords that fit your overall strategy speaking of which sticking to a solid keyword strategy will ensure that your pins are well indexed and they are easy to find on the platform which is crucial for driving sustained engagement on you on this platform so let's dive deeper into how to use the power of keywords in your Pinterest strategy so your Pinterest keyword strategy is a big deal but it's pretty different from your Google SEO strategy you can get some ideas from your Google SEO terms and maybe if you're using other platforms like Etsy you might also have a basic understanding of SEO but Pinterest needs its own approach so you need to start simple just use the keywords that highlight the common problems and the solutions that you offer and these will connect you to your audience at different levels for example I always use keywords like how to start a blog because they help me show pins to people who are searching for this type of keywords a cool thing about Pinterest SEO is that you don't have to worry about keyword cannibalization like you would do with Google so on Pinterest you can use the same keyword for many pins without any issues as long as it fits the pins content you have a chance to rank with several pins for the same keyword actually using the same same keywords more often can help you get seen more on the platform and I've put together a Pinterest SEO checklist to help you craft and refine your keyword strategy I will give you a link to it in the description below and if you're just starting out on pin try not to worry about your analytics for the first say something like 3 months focus on getting the basics right creating good pin organizing them on the right board and expanding your keywords this approach will keep you from getting bogged down by early numbers and help you stay focused on building a solid presence on Pinterest now how many times you should pin Pinterest never published specific limits but from my experience new accounts should start slowly and they should increase the daily pinning volume you can start from about just three pins per day and as your account grows you can go all the way up to 15 to 20 pins per day what matters here is that you should only increase this number if you can handle this volume because you need to do this consistently and not just by Saving one day 20 pins and then posting nothing for a week and if you can handle this volume while still keeping high quality designs of your PIN so it's best to save fewer images that look amazing and generate saves and clicks than saving more pins that don't get any engagement moreover the higher and of the daily volume which I said about 20 pins per day will only really work for websites that have a ton of page URLs like in the hundreds maybe if you have only say five or 10 pages on the website you're kind of forced to keep your daily pin volume lower because you don't want to create repetitive pins that are linked to the same URLs too many times and too close to each other the recommended best practice for pins with the same URL is to be saved about a week apart so it doesn't have to be exactly 7 days but it can be like six or 9 days and you also should heavily rely on Pinterest Trends if you want to get a lot of traffic from Pinterest because the algorithm is literally tuning the feeds of users and it starts showing more pins related to trending topics so yes you should post consistently actually two types of pins one for your Evergreen keywords and second for the trending topics and keywords and this is how you can get both a baseline search traffic from Pinterest that comes comes in steadily from the Evergreen pins that you manag to rank four uh high in search results and from this Baseline you can also add up some nice spikes of traffic from the trending topics that will not always drive a ton of traffic but for short periods of time they will bump your analytics quite a lot so this is Pinterest free tool that allows you to do keyword research and find topics that are trending on Pinterest right now or if you really want to take advantage of the trends I actually recommend you to find topics that will start trending at least two or 3 months in advance now if you want to learn more about Pinterest marketing the best place to start is in my playlist uh I will link it up there subscribe if you want to see more of my videos in your feed and I'll see you in the next video [Music]
